Boarding FAQs
You can be dropped off anytime during our business hours, which are 8am- 6pm Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm Saturdays, and 3pm-5pm on Sundays (Sunday hours are seasonal and only occur March-September). If you need to be dropped off or picked up before or after our business hours, have your parents call and schedule this ahead of your stay with our front desk.
Yes, you will get to participate in all the daycare activities during your stay with us, unless you’re not very social or you have a medical reason; if that's the case, you will get extra attention from our staff members. For Paws Unleashed is all about having a relaxing and good time during your stay with us. Whatever your situation, we will ensure your satisfaction.
We ask that your parents bring the food and treats you are used to eating at home. This helps you to not have any stomach issues while you are boarding. We provide beds, blankets, and food & water bowls. However, they are also able to bring any items that will make you more comfortable while you are here (toys, blankets, etc.). We will take pictures of all your items before they are taken to your room to help ensure that they go back home with you.
We administer medication provided by your parent. When you check in, we will get specific instructions on how to administer your medications.
Your parent can call, email, or stop in. We fill up fast, so it’s best to make a reservation, especially during peak seasons.
There is a chance that you may get a little dirty while you are here. Between all of the outside time, pool time, and play time with other dogs, our top priority is for you to enjoy yourself while you are here. We make every effort to ensure that our clients and their belongings go home with them clean; if your parents would like to guarantee that you go home fresh and clean, ask them to schedule a grooming service, which we will perform the day of your departure. It always helps if your parents let us know when they plan to pick up, so that we can have you and your belongings clean and ready to go at the end of your stay.

Daycare FAQs

You must be up to date on the following vaccines: Rabies, Bordetella, and DHLPP (Distemper/Parvo). Your parents will fill out a basic questionnaire and waiver to help us learn more about you and release you to play. We like for our guests to be spayed or neutered if over 6 months of age, but if you aren’t, that’s okay; your parents just need to let us know that you are unaltered, and we will make sure that you only play with other dogs of your same sex, or that are altered. Our kennel staff will also spend some time with you outside to evaluate your temperament prior to adding you into a playgroup. This will help us get an idea of what type of buddies you will have the most fun with. We group dogs based on size, age and energy level.
It is not necessary to come in prior to your first visit with us. However, if you would like to come in prior to being dropped off for the first time, you are more than welcome to come with your parents if they come for a tour or to fill out paperwork. We offer a complimentary day of daycare for all first time clients; this acts as a day for you to get settled in, meet the staff, and allows us to get to know you and find the best group of buddies to suit your needs. At the end of this first day, we will give your parent a full report on how your first day went.
When you come for daycare, you will get lots of play time with your dog friends and our kennel staff. We utilize both indoor and outdoor play areas to make sure that you are comfortable regardless of the weather. Some of our favorite daycare activities include pool time (seasonally) and the special events we have throughout the year. If you come for daycare and prefer not to play with other dogs, you will still get to enjoy outside time and will spend time with our kennel staff.
Of course! We know that your parents may be nervous leaving you, so they are more than welcome to call us and get a report from the kennel manager. You can also reach us via Facebook messenger, or by sending us an email.
No. Our daycare is considered a walk-in service, so your parents can bring you down to play anytime you decide you want to see your buddies. We offer full and half days of daycare (see our Daycare section for hours and pricing). Your parents just need to drop off and pick up during our business hours, which are Monday-Friday 7am-6pm, and Saturday 9am-5pm.
Your parents are welcome to send lunch for you to eat if you are used to eating lunch at home. If you don’t typically eat mid-day, then lunch is not necessary. We will not feed you during daycare unless your parent brings you lunch, or specifically asks for us to provide you with an “in-house” feeding for lunch, which is $2.50.
If your parent feeds you in the morning, make sure you give your stomach plenty of time to digest. You need at least 1 hour of rest before you begin playing to prevent the risk of bloating.
We are more than happy to accommodate your needs. If you need extra down time, or if your parents bring lunch for you, we will make sure that you have an hour to eat and rest during your busy day of play.
Our staff makes all efforts to send each guest home in clean condition; however, parents must understand that they are sending their pet to a daycare where they do play and run around outside and with other dogs. Pets may leave smelling like outside, or get dirty playing outside or in their playgroup. If your pet gets extremely dirty during their playtime, we will clean up your pet before they go home. Giving our staff an expected departure time helps us ensure that your pet is cleaned up and ready to go home when you arrive.

Grooming FAQs
Give us a call at (859)623-3647, or feel free to stop by. We would be happy to discuss grooming services and make an appointment.
You will need to make sure you're up to date on all your vaccines (Rabies, DHLPP, and Bordetella).
Our experienced groomers will work at a pace that you are comfortable with. During your grooming process, our groomers are there to keep you calm and ensure that you have a good experience.
We do not groom fully sedated pets; however, we do realize that some pets need some medication prescribed by their vet to help them relax. Have your parent bring your medication with you. We will administer it close to your groom time.
Yes! Our kennel staff will introduce you into a playgroup that best fits your personality and size. This will help you get some energy out before your time in the Paw Spa.
Our number one priority is to make sure that you have a good experience and that your parents love your new haircut. However, if it isn’t quite what they had in mind, we ask that they please let us know. Our groomers are more than happy to fix any issues upon pick-up. If you get home and your parents notice something they would like done differently, they can call us and we will either schedule a day for you to come in and get touched up, or make a note in your file to ensure that next time we get your cut exactly the way you all want it.

Yard Maintenance Program FAQs

Cost of services will vary based on how often you would like the service completed, or if you choose to add on any additional services. The most cost-effective option is to join our maintenance program and set up visits twice a week, once a week, or every other week.
No, you do not have to be home while we complete your service. We do ask that you make sure that we will have access to your yard, whether that means a gate is left unlocked, or an access code is given so that the service can be completed. We will not climb any gates or fences to gain access to your yard.
Upon arrival, we will walk your yard and scoop any waste in the area. Once the area has been thoroughly scooped, we will double-bag all waste products and place it in an agreed upon trash receptacle. We will ensure that we secure any gates that were used for entry.
Although we love seeing our furry friends, we do ask that you keep your dog inside while the team works. This ensures the safety of your pets and our team!
If we need to make any adjustments to your service, please feel free to call us at (859)623-3647. One of our front desk staff members will be happy to assist you and will relay any information to our yard maintenance team!
Service dates are based on routes, much like a trash pick-up service. However, we will always do our best to accommodate a specific need or time. Please let us know your availability when we schedule your first visit.
The size of your dog doesn’t matter! If, during our initial visit, we determine that your yard is oversized, or that the maintenance required falls outside of a typical service, we will discuss with you about increased pricing going forward.
We ask that you please call us at (859)623-3647 at least 48 hours in advance so that we can adjust our schedule and route accordingly. Please let us know at that time what date you would like to resume your schedule.
We will make every effort to maintain our schedule. In the instance of heavy rain, thunderstorms, snow, or ice, we may have to reschedule your service. We will do our best to either beat the bad weather, complete your service sooner, or to get to you as quickly as possible once the weather is better. We will continue services year-round.
We ask that you do your best to keep grass a reasonable length, and that during autumn, leaves be kept to a minimum to ensure that we can provide you with thorough service.
